What Needs Work

At a summer camp final performance, July 2022, campers who couldn't play an instrument or sing were asked to answer an interview question, "What needs to be worked on in the world? (or like, what should we work on as a society?)"

Noah typed this answer one laptop and his sister copied it to a speech device which translated it to speech for the audience.  This were his own words, but seemingly from various thoughts he has heard others express over the years. 

"There needs to be funding for disabled people to live independently.  There needs to be more respect of our autonomy.  We can speak for ourselves.  We can make decisions.   The state needs to increase waiver funding to support us reaching our full potential.  This is both a political and social issue.  We should be valued as members of our community. "
